SUMMARY:Relics of Saint Bernadette Soubirous and an Immersive Lourdes Ex
 perience
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the Lourdes experience at the Basilica. This 
 is the first stop on the 2026-2027 tour!\n\nThis 2.5-day experience offe
 rs the chance to venerate the relics of St. Bernadette in the Great Uppe
 r Church.\n\nAt the same time\, the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes on the
  lower level will offer a chance to engage with physical aspects of the 
 Grotto in France. Attendees may touch part of the rock and experience wa
 ter from the spring.\n\nOn Friday and Saturday\, events include  masses
 \, rosaries\, and confessions. On Friday\, Cardinal McElroy with celebra
 te the 12:10 mass. On Saturday\, the 4:30 pm vigil mass will be followed
  by a 6:00 pm candlelight procession.\n\nOn Sunday\, the Lourdes experie
 nce concludes with the 12 noon mass. Most Reverend Gabriele G. Caccia\, 
 Apostolic Nuncio to the United States\, will be the principal celebrant 
 and homilist. After mass\, the reliquary will be processed out.\n\nRelic
 s of St. Bernadette Soubirous (of Lourdes)\n\nVisit the Great Upper Chur
 ch of the Basilica to venerate the relics of this great saint. In 1858\,
  when St. Bernadette was a young girl in France\, the Blessed Mother app
 eared to her and declared “I am the Immaculate Conception.”\n\nLourd
 es Immersive Experience\n\nVisit the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes on th
 e lower level of the Basilica for an immersive experience similar to the
  Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in France. Pilgrims can touch part of the
  rock that makes up the grotto and cleanse themselves with water from th
 e spring where Our Lady told us to go. “Go to the spring\, drink of it
  and wash yourself there.” Lastly\, light a candle and entrust your pe
