The Beloved Babies Layette Program is the cornerstone program of the Christ Child Society since its founding over 135 years ago. The Layette Program provides material assistance to babies born to low-income families in the DC area.
The Layette Program provides new baby welcome kits, known as layettes. Each kit contains the essentials every newborn needs: onesies, sleepers, sleep sacks, diapers, baby wipes, children’s books, community resources, educational material, and a handmade blanket. For more information:

Gabriel Network empowers a committed network of Christian churches to accompany pregnant mothers and families in need by providing practical, emotional and spiritual support through pregnancy and beyond. It realizes this mission through three programs: a help line, church-based ministry, and housing ministry. Many parishes in the Archdiocese provide direct care to mothers in need, as members of the Gabriel Network.
Gabriel Project Cluster of Montgomery County, Md helps needy women in Montgomery County, Maryland, who are facing crisis pregnancies, and their children, by providing practical support, including cribs, strollers, clothing, grocery cards, diapers, formula, and other needed items. Since September 2018, the Council of Catholic Women (CCW) has been hosting a nightly Rosary call for the healing of the Church, healing and for callers’ personal intentions.
All (men, women, children, non-CCW members) are welcome to join us any night of the week — or every night of the week!
Maybe once a month on your birthdate? Please join us at 8:00 p.m. as we read meditations on the Rosary’s mysteries and pray together.
